Hello! My name is Lucy Jane Lutyens, and I am a full-charge bookkeeper based in North Kingstown, Rhode Island. Growing up in a family rooted in the maritime industry—my father being a retired lobster and crab fisherman—I spent much of my childhood on boats and by the water. That upbringing inspired the name HarborLedger.

I entered the workforce at 14, and like many young people, struggled with managing my finances. My father's frequent question, “Where is your money going?” sparked my interest in financial literacy—something I wish had been taught in school. Determined to understand and take control of my finances, I earned my college degree with a focus in Accounting in the summer of 2022.

Since then, I've gained hands-on experience in accounting through several temporary roles, developed budgeting tools in Microsoft Excel, and became QuickBooks Certified in Bookkeeping in 2024.
